| The entire Lam Dong province continues to build post-harvest centers, creating a network of logistics infrastructure both domestically and internationally. |
• CREATING A MODERN LOGISTICS INFRASTRUCTURE NETWORK
Also during the period of 2024-2030, in addition to building and putting into operation the Da Lat Flower Trading Center, the province will establish centralized agricultural product storage facilities in the districts of Lam Ha, Duc Trong, Don Duong, Di Linh, and Da Huoai, linked with integrated logistics services from production, harvesting, processing, packaging, storage to transportation and distribution to consumers. This will ensure that logistics operations throughout Lam Dong province are in line with the local socio -economic development conditions, expand regional linkages in the Central Coast and Central Highlands, and promote international integration.
According to relevant authorities, based on research and application of legal policies, the entire province will eliminate or simplify administrative procedures related to specialized inspections and the provision and development of logistics services; simultaneously, it will build investment incentives regarding land, taxes, and human resource development for transaction centers, warehouses, and logistics services in the area. Particularly in the agricultural sector, emphasis will be placed on investing in infrastructure for warehouses, cold storage, packaging, irradiation, and inspection in key areas producing vegetables, flowers, and coffee (Da Lat City, Duc Trong District); durian (Da Huoai District, Bao Loc City); tea, and mulberry (Bao Loc City).
“The entire province will plan land use in accordance with the concentrated production areas of each district and city, thereby building post-harvest centers, goods collection points, and transporting goods to distribution and service centers nationwide; creating a modern logistics infrastructure network with Cat Lai Port in Dong Nai province, Hiep Phat Port in Ho Chi Minh City…”, the relevant authorities emphasized the planning objectives. Accordingly, in the period 2024-2030, the plan will include the Logistics Center in Duc Trong district, linked to Lien Khuong Airport, in the national logistics center development plan; and the aforementioned Da Lat Flower Trading Center will be built to connect the wholesale markets of Binh Dien (Ho Chi Minh City) and Dau Giay (Dong Nai province). During this period, focus will also be placed on building a 5-hectare inland port combined with a 50-100 hectare Logistics Center in Lien Hiep commune, Lien Nghia town, Duc Trong district. Similarly, in the period after 2030, construction will continue on a 5-hectare inland port combined with a Logistics Center in Loc Tien ward, Bao Loc city, with a total area of 10 hectares.
• EXPANDING THE LOGISTICS MARKET FROM NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES
Authorities also added that, to develop the logistics market before and after 2030, the solution focuses on supporting and improving the efficiency of goods sourcing for Phu Hoi Industrial Park in Duc Trong district; Loc Son Industrial Park in Bao Loc city; expanding goods sources in Da Lat city and the districts of Lac Duong, Lam Ha, Don Duong, Duc Trong, and Di Linh. In addition, it promotes trade in logistics services, attracting goods from Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Dak Nong, Dak Lak, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, and Khanh Hoa to Lam Dong province and vice versa. Furthermore, it implements solutions to integrate cooperation activities with expanding the logistics market from neighboring countries and vice versa, such as: goods from Laos through the Bo Y border gate via National Highway 14 to Kon Tum and Dak Lak provinces; and via National Highway 27 to Da Lat city. From the Mondulkiri region of Cambodia, through Gia Nghia town in Dak Nong province, along National Highway 28 to Di Linh district in Lam Dong province.
To develop the logistics market in Lam Dong province, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has assigned each specialized unit to lead and coordinate the effective implementation of the above solutions. These include: the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, which supports the development of logistics services in the agricultural supply chain from preservation, preliminary processing, and processing to transportation and distribution; connecting agricultural product transit through logistics centers and warehouses in the province; the Department of Science and Technology, which researches, applies, and transfers advanced technologies and socializes resources for the development of logistics services; the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, which implements vocational training related to logistics services, integrating it with the general education level nationwide and regionally; and the Department of Planning and Investment, which develops a priority list for attracting investment in transportation infrastructure serving logistics activities…
