According to Engadget , after landing on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 platforms for 5 months, Marvel's Midnight Suns will finally appear on older consoles. Accordingly, Firaxis' role-playing game will be available on Xbox One and PS4 on May 11.
However, there's some bad news for fans who were looking forward to Marvel's Midnight Suns coming to Switch. According to a post on the game's website, a Nintendo handheld version is now 'no longer planned.' In other words, Firaxis and publisher 2K have canceled the Switch version.
Marvel's Midnight Suns Will Not Be Coming to Nintendo Switch
The game's cancellation on Switch isn't too surprising, as Firaxis has spent much of its time preparing for PS4 and Xbox One versions. Both consoles are significantly more powerful than the Switch. However, despite critical acclaim, the game was a "commercial failure," according to Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick.
The Xbox One and PS4 versions will also be discounted along with the game's fourth expansion pack (DLC). Marvel's Midnight Suns: Blood Storm will add the character Storm and introduce new missions. All DLC will be available to PS4 and Xbox One players, allowing them to add characters like Deadpool, Venom, and Morbius.
