On the morning of April 11th, at Prés Buône Prés Phék Pagoda, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan Hoa commune ( Can Tho City) together with philanthropists organized a "zero-cost" market to celebrate the Chol Chnam Thmay Tet holiday in 2026, supporting 200 poor households, near-poor households, households with difficult circumstances, and elderly people living alone in the commune.

Leaders of Thuan Hoa commune and benefactors participated in and supported the zero-cost market.
At the market, each household received a voucher to receive approximately 30 types of essential necessities: rice, instant noodles, eggs, vegetables, spices, soy sauce, sugar, etc., with each gift package worth nearly 500,000 VND. The stalls were neatly arranged and varied, making it easy for people to choose goods and contributing to a joyful and warm atmosphere before the traditional Chôl Chnăm Thmây New Year.

The "zero-cost" market helped 200 disadvantaged households celebrate the Chôl Chnăm Thmây New Year more warmly.
This is the second time the locality has organized a "zero-cost" market during the Chôl Chnăm Thmây New Year. The program aims to share difficulties and help people have a full and prosperous New Year celebration; at the same time, it promotes the spirit of solidarity and mutual support within the community.

The program offers free haircuts for residents and students.
The organizers also provided free haircuts for nearly 100 underprivileged residents and students.
