Thuan Hanh commune is arranged based on the total natural area and population of Thuan Ha commune and Thuan Hanh commune (old). This is a border commune with a total natural area of nearly 13,000 hectares and a population of nearly 4,700 people.
The whole commune has 15 ethnic groups living in 18 villages and hamlets. Thuan Hanh has nearly 23.2km of border with Mondulkiri district, Kingdom of Cambodia.
Thuan Hanh Commune Party Committee has 32 subordinate Party cells with 626 Party members. The Executive Committee has 21 members, the Standing Committee has 8 members and the Standing Party Committee has 3 members. The whole commune has 79 cadres and civil servants.
On July 1, the Standing Committee and the Party Executive Committee of the commune agreed to establish specialized agencies, advisory and support agencies, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune. The Party established subordinate Party cells and directed the successful organization of the first meeting of the People's Council and People's Committee of the commune.
The commune Party Committee has directed agencies and organizations to quickly stabilize their organizational structure. The government has issued and announced decisions on receiving and appointing officials and arranging facilities. The public administration center has officially been operating since July 1, and has been receiving and serving the people's needs for handling administrative procedures.
The preparation work for the Commune Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term has been proactively led and directed by the Commune Party Committee. The Party Committee has completed the draft political report, review report and registered the number and time of the congress. It is expected that the Thuan Hanh Commune Party Congress will be held at the end of July 2025 with 150 delegates attending.
The arrangement of administrative units in Thuan Hanh commune has received the attention and direction of the Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee. Up to now, the work of Party building and the political system in Thuan Hanh commune has basically stabilized and operated effectively. Security and national defense have been maintained and consolidated.
Besides the advantages, the operation of Thuan Hanh commune still faces many difficulties, mainly related to the system of facilities and technical infrastructure. The Party Committee of the commune has recommended to the working group to pay attention and provide initial support to ensure synchronization in the operation of the two-level local government.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luu Van Trung highly appreciated the efforts of the Thuan Hanh Commune Party Committee.
In the face of many difficulties and limitations, the Party Committee has led and directed the implementation of tasks, ensuring that the apparatus operates smoothly and without interruption.
Comrade Luu Van Trung requested the Commune Party Committee to focus on leading and directing local officials to promptly overcome difficulties and ensure effective and efficient operations. The locality should focus on resolving people's petitions and ensuring security, order and national defense in border areas.
With the characteristics of a border commune, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Party Committee of Thuan Hanh commune to clearly identify important tasks. The Party Committee of the commune must identify important goals such as improving the quality of life of the people, ensuring security and order, and firmly protecting border sovereignty . On that basis, the Party Committee proposed breakthrough solutions for socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security.
