Ms. Vu Dang Hai Yen has just resigned from her role as Permanent Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of FLC.
On September 30, FLC Group Joint Stock Company announced that Ms. Vu Hai Yen resigned from the position of Permanent Vice President of FLC due to personal plans and orientations. Ms. Yen's resignation does not affect the orientation, operational goals and management views of the Board of Directors (BOD).
Ms. Yen was born in 1978, has a PhD in Economic Law. She was a lecturer at the Faculty of Economic Law, Hanoi Law University. Ms. Yen joined FLC in November 2016, holding the position of Deputy General Director and Head of the Legal Department. She also served as a member of the Board of Directors at FLC's related enterprises such as FLC Faros Construction Joint Stock Company (ROS) and FLC AMD Investment and Mineral Joint Stock Company (AMD).
In July 2022 - a few months after the incident of FLC's senior leaders, Ms. Yen resigned from the position of Deputy General Director of the group. In March 2023, she was elected as Permanent Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of FLC.
Previously, Ms. Vu Hai Yen was also the person authorized by former FLC Chairman Trinh Van Quyet to hold shareholder rights at the group, Bamboo Airways, and rights related to assets and property rights owned by Mr. Quyet after his arrest.
Besides Ms. Yen, another member of FLC's Board of Directors who also resigned is Mr. Ngo Dang Hoang Anh. A month ago, Ms. Tran Thi Huong also resigned from her role as a member of the Board of Directors and Permanent Deputy General Director in charge of administration of FLC.
Thus, FLC’s Board of Directors now has only two members, Chairman Le Ba Nguyen and Mr. Le Tien Dung. On October 15, the company will hold an extraordinary meeting to approve the dismissal and election of additional members of the Board of Directors and Supervisory Board.
At an extraordinary meeting earlier this year, FLC leaders said the group's staff size had been reduced by 60% after restructuring. FLC's member and affiliated business system now has 14 subsidiaries and 1 affiliated unit. The company plans to have real estate revenue of about 1,200 billion VND this year to have resources to execute projects as committed. In the hotel and resort sector, FLC aims to exploit and operate projects in Ha Long, Sam Son, Quang Binh and Quy Nhon. The group also said it will seek partners to negotiate cooperation plans to exploit some items in these projects.
