On the morning of August 30, the National Science and Technology Task Survey Delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, led by Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Huu Dung, had a survey and working session with the leaders of the District Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City.
The survey was held to serve the scientific workshop "Promoting the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio- political organizations for people to be masters in the new development period of the country - Some theoretical issues" taking place in the afternoon of the same day in Da Nang city.
Attending the meeting were: Standing Deputy Secretary of Lien Chieu District Party Committee Dang Ngoc Nhan; Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City Tran Thi Man; Head of the District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lien Chieu District Pham Thi Hong Hanh and Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of 5 wards in Lien Chieu District.
At the meeting, the Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of wards in Lien Chieu district mentioned the advantages, difficulties and obstacles, especially the compensation and site clearance work to serve the city's major projects.
According to the report of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lien Chieu District, the district currently has 45 projects subject to clearance. The Front has coordinated with the locality to effectively mobilize many households to hand over land for construction projects such as: the road connecting Lien Chieu Port, the strategic emergency road and the Hoa Khanh Nam Industrial Cluster.
Standing Deputy Secretary of Lien Chieu District Party Committee Dang Ngoc Nhan said that local Party committees and authorities always make the greatest efforts so that people can benefit from the city's policies. The most difficult times are also the times when people's consensus and unanimity are most promoted through the core role of the Front. Mr. Nhan gave an example, the Lien Chieu Port Project (among 125 projects in the city at present) will be difficult to implement without the consensus and support of the people.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyen Huu Dung thanked the delegates for their frank and enthusiastic opinions provided to the survey delegation, and mentioned a number of issues that need attention in order to further promote the core role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations so that the people can be masters in the new development period of the country.
"If we can promote the people's spirit of mastery, the people's trust in the Party and State will grow," Vice Chairman Nguyen Huu Dung emphasized.
