Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee introduces investment potential to Japanese partners

On September 8, within the framework of a working trip to attend the Vietnam National Day at the World Exhibition EXPO 2025 in Japan, Vice Chairwoman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich visited and met with Mr. Kato Hirosuke - Chairman of the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Osaka.

At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich informed about the policy of merging from 64 provinces and cities to 34 provinces and cities of Vietnam; in which, the merger of Binh Dinh and Gia Lai provinces to form the new Gia Lai province is not only to merge administrative units but also to open up new development space.

Ms. Lich also introduced the image, potential and strengths of the new Gia Lai province; in which, Ms. Lich emphasized that Phu Cat airport is being upgraded to an international airport to be ready to welcome visitors from all over the world; information on the list of projects calling for investment, high-tech agricultural projects. She also discussed some cooperation orientations with the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in the coming time, in order to strengthen the friendship and practical and effective cooperation between Gia Lai province and Kansai city in particular as well as with Japanese partners in general.

She also respectfully conveyed the regards and invitation of the Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee to Mr. Kato Hirosuke to visit and work with the province in the near future, and expressed her hope that he would continue to support the promotion of the image, potential and strengths of Gia Lai and act as a bridge to introduce investors to explore cooperation opportunities in the province.

Gia Lai province believes that with the companionship and support of the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association, the friendship and cooperation between the two sides will become increasingly stronger, contributing positively to the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Japan.

In response, Mr. Kato Hirosuke expressed his honor to receive the attention of Gia Lai province leaders, and said that in recent times, the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association has made efforts to promote and introduce the image of the country, people, and development potential of Vietnam in general and Gia Lai in particular, thereby calling on Japanese businesses to come and explore investment opportunities.

In fact, many Japanese enterprises and some universities have come to the province to cooperate in investment, develop production and business, link training, export labor and initially bring about efficiency.

At the invitation of the leaders of Gia Lai province, Mr. Kato Hirosuke pledged to join businesses in the fields of agriculture, wood processing for export and some universities in Japan to visit and work with the province to explore investment cooperation opportunities in the coming time. He hopes that the provincial leaders will continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for Japanese businesses to invest in Gia Lai.
