Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Cong worked with the Department of Science and Technology

On the afternoon of July 23, 2025, Comrade Nguyen Van Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session with the Department of Science and Technology to listen to a report on the results of science and technology activities in the first 6 months of 2025, directions and tasks for the last 6 months of the year and the results of consulting on the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo.

Reporting at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, said: In the first 6 months of the year, the Department of Science and Technology has advised on the implementation of 38 tasks, including a number of core tasks, laying the foundation for comprehensively implementing the goals, targets and tasks of implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW according to the Program, Plan and Conclusion Notices of the Central Steering Committee and Provincial Steering Committee. Some outstanding results include: Advising the Provincial People's Committee to issue Action Plan No. 538-KH/TU and Plan No. 138/KH-UBND to concretize Resolution 57-NQ/TW, creating a breakthrough in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation; Supporting the development of the science and technology market and innovative startups, bringing the total number of science and technology enterprises in the area to 33 enterprises - among the leading enterprises in the country;...

Resolution 57 helps strongly promote the process of research and development of science and technology and innovation in Quang Ninh .

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Department of Science and Technology in advising and implementing important tasks related to science and technology activities and Resolution 57-NQ/TW. He requested that in the coming time, the Department of Science and Technology continue to review plans, action programs, tasks of the Steering Committee, and annual plans, focusing on tasks that are behind schedule to remove difficulties. At the same time, the Department implements a monitoring mechanism, flexible coordination between departments, branches, and localities in implementation; urges departments and branches to digitize industry databases to ensure synchronization, connectivity, and effectively serve the goals of science and technology breakthroughs, innovation, and digital transformation of the province...

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, sincerely thanked the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for his attention and direction. He accepted the directions of the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and pledged to strengthen coordination with departments, branches, sectors and localities to synchronously and effectively implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW and the directions of the Central Government and the province; strongly promote the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, contributing to the overall socio -economic development of the province.
