Preventing and controlling lumpy skin disease in buffaloes and cattle.

The People's Committee of the city has just issued Decision No. 2117/QD-UBND approving the plan for preventing and controlling lumpy skin disease in buffaloes and cattle in the city, for the period 2026 - 2030.

The plan aims to effectively control and contain Lumpy Skin Disease (LPD) in buffalo and cattle herds in the city; proactively monitor for early detection, warning, and prevention of LPD in buffalo and cattle, contributing to ensuring food safety and environmental protection in the city.

The city will implement solutions such as: disease prevention using VDNC vaccines; proactive and effective disease prevention through biosecurity measures in livestock farming, sanitation, disinfection, and vector control; animal surveillance and quarantine, transportation control, slaughter control, and veterinary hygiene inspection; responding to and handling outbreaks, combating epidemics, managing and caring for sick livestock; raising awareness and changing behavior through education; and support policies…
