According to a report from the Go Vap District Department of Education and Training, on the morning of November 5th, following reports of students fighting in the school restroom, the district's leadership requested the Principal of Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School to submit a report explaining the incident.

The principal of Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School said that the incident occurred at the end of October 2023, when the school received a complaint from parents about female students fighting in the restroom on the second floor of the school.

Following complaints from parents, the school launched an investigation. According to the findings, at the end of the 2022-2023 school year, TV (class 7/6) and TA (class 6/8) had a conflict, which escalated into a physical altercation during recess in the schoolyard at campus 2.

The matter was resolved amicably between the school and parents, but some conflicts among the students still arose during the 2023-2024 school year.

TA's sister, CXM (9th grade/9th grade), stated that because her younger sister was beaten during the previous school year, and also because V borrowed money from YN (TA's friend, who has since transferred schools) but did not repay it, on September 23rd, TA gathered some other students to arrange a meeting with TV in the girls' restroom on the second floor of the school to talk.

Here, three students, M, N, and T, took turns beating TV. After the beating, the three girls warned TV not to tell anyone, or she would be beaten again. Because TV was scared, she didn't dare report it to the school.

Immediately after learning about the incident, on November 3rd, the school invited the students and their parents to the school to address the students' violations.

As a result, the school announced that the students who assaulted their classmate received a "Poor" conduct grade in the first report of grades for the first semester; simultaneously, they coordinated with the Police Station of Ward 3, Go Vap District to reprimand and educate the students.

However, on the morning of November 5th, the incident reappeared on social media, along with a video clip showing students from Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School beating a classmate in the school's restroom. The video clip was filmed by a student in the group using their phone.

After reviewing the video clip, the school determined that the incident was serious, with TV being severely beaten by three students. The attitude of the students involved in beating TV is unacceptable.

According to the school's assessment, the students' actions have negatively impacted the school's reputation, causing anxiety among students, parents, and the school community.

The report states that the school is continuing to investigate the incident and will resolutely handle the students who violated the rules in accordance with the regulations of the education sector, helping them recognize their wrongdoings and deterring the remaining students in order to put an end to school violence in the future.
