Another case of 8th grade female students in Ho Chi Minh City fighting in a school restroom

On the morning of November 7, a video went viral on social media recording two girls wearing gym uniforms with the words "Phu An Secondary School" printed on their shirts, fighting in the school restroom.

Two female students grabbed each other’s hair and threw them to the bathroom floor. One female student, who looked bigger, sat on top of the other and repeatedly slapped her in the face. The incident lasted for about 3 minutes.

At the time of the incident, many other students witnessed it but no one intervened.

According to PV's investigation, Phu An Secondary School is located in Phu An ward, Ho Chi Minh City (Ben Cat city, old Binh Duong province).

The leader of Phu An Ward People's Committee said that he had received the information. Phu An Secondary School also reported the incident.

According to the report, the two students who fought were CTT and NTNH, 8th graders at the school. The incident happened on October 11, after the last class at school.

Discovering the incident, on October 12, the school invited the students involved to come forward to give a statement. The cause was due to two students having an argument while using the restroom.

On October 15, the school's Disciplinary Council met and agreed on disciplinary action for the students involved.

The two students who directly fought were suspended from school for 7 days and their conduct was reduced to average for the semester. The eight students who watched, cheered, and filmed the video were suspended from school for 3 days and their conduct was reduced to average for the month.

Recently, Ho Chi Minh City also had a school violence incident that made public opinion angry.

Specifically, on October 31, an 8th grade female student was surrounded and beaten by a group of friends in the restroom area at An Dien Secondary School (Long Nguyen Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

The female student was forced into a corner and continuously questioned by the group of friends, who pointed at her face and beat her up. The group threw her to the ground, kicked her in the face, and dragged her by her hair.

The victim could only hold his head and endure the beating, while many other students stood around watching, some even cheering and encouraging.

The incident only stopped when a teacher appeared and shouted at the students to stop. The violent scene was also filmed and quickly spread on social media, causing public outrage.

The initial cause is known to have stemmed from a conflict while lining up for physical education; afterwards, the group of students made an appointment to go to the restroom to resolve the matter.

Ms. A. - the mother of the beaten female student said that after the incident, she took her child to the hospital for examination. At the hospital, the doctor said that the child had multiple injuries, 3 cracked ribs, and was in a state of panic.
