On November 7, at Hanoi National University of Education, a national scientific conference on “ Educational management and leadership in the new era: Opportunities, challenges and solutions” took place, attracting the participation of many scientists, experts, educational managers, lecturers and researchers from educational institutions. The event also aimed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Faculty of Educational Management.
In his opening speech, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Tri - Head of the Faculty of Educational Management said that innovating management thinking, improving leadership capacity and developing high-quality human resources are key factors to realize the spirit of Resolution 71-NQ/TW on education and training development - considering education as "the top national policy, the decisive factor for the nation's destiny".

The workshop focused on discussing 6 major topics: Thinking, theory, policies and models of educational management and leadership in the digital age; Training and fostering of educational leaders and managers; Application of information technology and artificial intelligence in educational management and leadership; Educational leadership in promoting innovation, preserving and promoting national identity; Resources and quality in educational management; Building school culture and developing leadership capacity in the new era.
The organizing committee received more than 60 articles from authors, many of which have high academic content and practical value, clarifying core issues of current educational management such as: Innovating leadership models towards development management, developing digital capacity of managers, applying artificial intelligence in school management, ensuring education quality and building a humane, creative and integrated school culture.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ba Minh - former Director of the Department of Preschool Education ( Ministry of Education and Training ) said that to implement the goal of Resolution No. 218/2025/QH15: "By 2030, 100% of provinces and centrally-run cities will meet the standards of universal preschool education for children from 3 to 5 years old" will face some difficulties and challenges.
In particular, the network of schools and classes is still limited, not meeting the needs of people for childcare; the shortage of preschool teachers has lasted for many years and has not been resolved; facilities for preschool education still have many difficulties, many schools still have to use temporary classrooms that do not ensure safety; the policy mechanism for preschool education is not yet appropriate.

Therefore, the solution is to continue to improve the institutions and policy mechanisms for preschool education; develop the team of management staff and preschool teachers; innovate the preschool education program; improve the quality of child care and nurturing; arrange the school network, increase investment in facilities to implement universal preschool education for children from 3 to 5 years old; strengthen the leadership of local authorities and inter-sectoral coordination...
Having worked for many years at the Faculty of Educational Management - Hanoi National University of Education, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Kiem said that our Party has issued many excellent resolutions related to education. After studying the resolutions, schools must have specific action programs in their units; at the same time, there should be a separate topic on technological innovation so that teachers can grasp the basic skills to be able to guide students.

"The workshop is a meaningful forum connecting theory and practice, research and action. Many delegates agreed that innovation in educational management and leadership must put people at the center to move towards an open, modern, humane and sustainable education. Investing in people and staff is a key factor to help education develop in the new era" - Prof. Dr. Dinh Quang Bao, former Principal of Hanoi National University of Education, emphasized.
