Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Le Vinh Hung - Principal of the School - reviewed the journey since the Prime Minister signed the Decision to establish the Central School of Physical Education - Music - Art on November 7, 1970, opening the way for training the first team of physical education, music and art teachers in the country.
To meet the requirements of developing art education , in 1980, the school was upgraded to the Central College of Physical Education - Music - Painting. On May 26, 2006, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 117/2006/QD-TTg, officially establishing the Central University of Art Education. This is an important milestone, making the school a member of the Vietnamese higher education system.

Associate Professor Dr. Le Vinh Hung emphasized that after 55 years, the Central University of Art Education has affirmed its reputation and position as a leading training institution in the field of culture and art education.
From this school, tens of thousands of students have grown up to become professors, associate professors, doctors, artists, designers, musicians, painters, actors, making important contributions to the country's education and cultural arts.
With its great contributions, the school has been awarded many certificates of merit and noble titles by the Party, the State, Ministries, Departments and branches. The school is facing new opportunities and challenges in the spirit of Resolution 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development of the Politburo , in which the focus is on building a modern management system based on digital technology and artificial intelligence, enhancing university autonomy, innovation and international integration.

Associate Professor Dr. Le Vinh Hung emphasized that the application of digital technology, artificial intelligence, quality assessment and university rankings will be the foundation for the Central University of Art Education to develop sustainably, becoming a national key school in cultural training - art education, a center for research and training of high-quality human resources in Vietnam.
With its core values of “Responsibility – Professionalism – Quality – Creativity – Humanity”, the school, more than half a century old, continues to affirm its pioneering role in spreading beauty, nurturing personality and inspiring creativity for generations of artists.

Sending congratulations to the Central University of Art Education, Mr. Trieu The Hung - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society - affirmed that this is a school with a long tradition, making great contributions to the cause of training art teachers and nurturing talents for the country.
Since its establishment in 1970 in a difficult national context, the school has undertaken the mission of bringing art into schools, nurturing the souls and personalities of Vietnamese students.
Through many stages of development, the school has now become a multidisciplinary training facility, including doctoral training. Thereby, contributing to providing high-quality human resources in the field of culture and arts.


Mr. Trieu The Hung highly appreciated the efforts of the staff, lecturers and students in training, scientific research, quality control and international integration. He believed that the Central University of Art Education will continue to promote its tradition, seize the opportunities of the digital age, innovate and create to become a leading center for art training and research, making a positive contribution to the development of education and culture of the country.
