TPO - The principal of Phu An Secondary School said that the fight between two female students happened in mid-October, and now a clip recording the incident has spread on social media. The school has disciplined the two female students who directly fought and the eight other students who stood by to cheer.

On November 7, regarding the clip circulating on social media recording two female students fighting in the school restroom, the Principal of Phu An Secondary School (Phu An Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) gave official information.

Accordingly, the leadership of Phu An Secondary School confirmed that the female students fighting in the clip are students of the school. The two students fighting are: CTT and NTNH, both students of class 8A5 and the incident took place on October 11 after the last class.

After discovering the incident, the school invited the students involved to write a report and determined that the cause was due to two students having an argument while using the restroom, leading to a fight. In addition, some other students who went to the restroom discovered the incident but did not report it to the teachers, instead they stood by and watched and recorded it with their phones.

Through verifying the students involved, the school invited the parents to inform them about the students' disciplinary violations; the parents also received information and cooperated with the school in handling the case, the violating students realized their wrongdoings and made a commitment.

The school's disciplinary council met and conducted a disciplinary review of the students involved and notified their families of the disciplinary action, which included a one-week suspension and a semester-long disciplinary review. In addition, eight cheering students were also suspended for three days and a month-long disciplinary review.

The school has explained the above disciplinary measures to parents and students. However, the school only allows students to gather at the headquarters to borrow notebooks from the class to copy the lessons, not to stay home completely. After that, students return to class to study as usual.
