On the evening of November 6, a clip over 1 minute long was circulated on social media, recording two female students wearing gym uniforms fighting in the restroom.
The clip shows two female students in gym uniforms grabbing each other’s hair and wrestling on the bathroom floor. One female student is then pinned down by the other and slapped repeatedly in the face. Although many students witnessed the incident, no one intervened.
The incident was determined to have occurred in the restroom of Phu An Secondary School, Phu An Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

On the morning of November 7, Phu An Secondary School officially informed about the incident. According to Phu An Secondary School’s report, the two students who fought were 8th graders at the school. The incident happened on October 11, after the last class.
On October 12, the school invited the students involved to come forward and give a statement. The initial cause was determined to be a conflict between two students while using the restroom.
The school then invited the parents of the students involved to report the disciplinary violation. The parents were informed, cooperated with the school and committed to managing and educating their children. The students who violated the rules also recognized their wrongdoing.

On October 15, the school's Disciplinary Council met and agreed on disciplinary measures for the students involved. The two students who directly fought were suspended from school for 7 days and their conduct was reduced to the semester's average; the eight students who stood by and watched and recorded the video were suspended from school for 3 days and their conduct was reduced to the monthly average.
Recently, at An Dien Secondary School, Ho Chi Minh City, an 8th grade female student was forced into the restroom by a group of friends and beaten, causing the victim to suffer multiple injuries and 3 broken ribs.
After discovering the incident, the school invited the students involved and their parents to a meeting. The principal of An Dien Secondary School apologized to the parents whose children were beaten and took responsibility for the school. The six students involved in beating their friend will be disciplined with the highest form.
