"This morning I took time off work to take my child to the exam. The pressure of the exam is immense for my child, but it's even more worrying for us parents. I stayed for almost two hours to wait for my child to finish the Literature exam so I could pick her up. I was afraid she would feel sad if she didn't see me after the exam!" shared Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh, a resident of Ha Long City.

Immediately, the youth volunteers, along with parents, tried to contact the homeroom teacher and the parents of the candidates to update the situation. "We have prepared our forces and will go to the candidates' homes to pick them up and take them to the exam site," a youth union official from Ha Long City Youth Union shared.

The weather at many exam locations in Quang Ninh province on the first day was quite hot and sunny. Many parents were not only worried that their children might not be able to do well on the exam, which could affect their mental state, but also concerned that the students might not have enough energy to perform well.

Parents shared that before the exam, the family would have cheerful, relaxed conversations to avoid putting pressure on their children, ensuring they went into the exam in the most relaxed state of mind. However, many parents waiting outside the school gate admitted, "Waiting for my child outside was even more nerve-wracking than the child taking the exam. We encouraged each other, but we were the ones under the most pressure."
