The Commune Women's Union has widely deployed the movement "Women actively participate in building new rural areas", associated with the movements and campaigns of the union, to each village and sub-region association. Up to now, nearly 1,800 member households have registered to implement the model "5 no, 3 clean"; 51 women's households maintain the model "Clean house - beautiful garden". In the villages, the Association has mobilized the establishment of 17 self-managed women's roads with a length of nearly 12 km, 10 colorful flower roads, creating a green - clean - beautiful landscape.
Ms. Lo Thi Du, Chairwoman of the Commune Women's Union, said: The Union has coordinated with the Commune People's Committee and organizations to organize training and propaganda on waste classification and environmental sanitation, attracting a large number of cadres, members and people to participate. In addition, the Union supports trash bins for households, maintains the model of classifying organic and inorganic waste in the villages. Thereby, contributing to reducing waste to the environment, forming green living habits in each member's family.
Every Sunday morning, women's union members of sub-area 8, Ta Hoc commune, clean up, clear bushes, dredge drains, and remove illegal advertising signs. The "Green Sunday" activity has become a habit, contributing to keeping the residential area green - clean - beautiful. Ms. Nguyen Thi Luot, head of the Women's Union, said: The union regularly propagates and mobilizes members to carry out the "5 no, 3 clean" campaign through meetings, loudspeaker systems, and Facebook and Zalo groups. Every week, women maintain the cleanliness of the streets, both creating a clean living environment and raising awareness of community responsibility.
The Women's Union of Ta Hoc commune regularly holds training classes, instructing members to classify household waste, utilize organic waste to compost into bio-fertilizer, both protecting the environment and increasing crop productivity. Ms. Leo Thi Quyet, a member of Bo Duoi village, shared: In the past, many households were used to dumping garbage indiscriminately. Since being trained, my family and the villagers have known how to classify and dispose of garbage in the right place, and utilize organic waste to compost corn and vegetables. The results are obvious, so we are more motivated to maintain this habit.
The movement of women to protect the environment in Ta Hoc commune has been implemented with many practical actions, focusing on changing living habits and raising community awareness. Since the beginning of the year, the Women's Union of the commune has recognized and attached signs "Clean house, beautiful garden" to 15 households in Bo Duoi and Pat Ca villages; maintained the model of classifying and treating waste at households according to the 3 clean criteria "Clean kitchen, clean house, clean alley", with 2,101 members; supported 1 poor women's union member household in Bo village to build a hygienic bathroom and toilet, worth 5 million VND.
In addition, in the villages, the Association has mobilized and organized 35 sessions to clean up village roads, alleys, and self-managed roads, taking care of the "Women's Flower Road", with a length of nearly 26 km, attracting more than 1,500 women members to participate, creating a spacious, clean, and beautiful environment and landscape.
The practical work of the Commune Women's Union has contributed to changing the face of Ta Hoc countryside. In the coming time, the Union will continue to promote the Campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean", associated with planting trees, sorting garbage at home, both protecting the environment, improving the quality of life, towards a sustainable new countryside, civilized urban areas.
