In the category of the most beautiful islands in Asia - Pacific in 2025, Phu Quoc is the only representative of Vietnam to be named, excellently ranking third, surpassing many familiar names such as Palawan (Philippines), Langkawi (Malaysia) or Sumba (Indonesia). In mid-January 2025, Forbes magazine (USA) also introduced in the topic "Discovering 6 most luxurious yet remote destinations in 2025". According to statistics from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), by the end of May 2025, Phu Quoc is estimated to welcome more than 4.5 million visitors, an increase of 33.3% over the same period, reaching 61.1% of the annual plan, including nearly 900,000 international visitors, an increase of 76.7% over the same period.
