Ha Long Ward must maintain its position as the political - economic - cultural center of the whole province.

On July 8, Comrade Vu Dai Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation inspected the operation and organization of activities of schools and medical stations in Ha Long ward according to the 2-level local government model. Accompanying him were leaders of provincial departments and branches.

Ha Long Ward was established on the basis of merging 2 wards: Hong Ha and Hong Hai, which is the political , economic and cultural center of Quang Ninh province. After the arrangement, the ward has a natural area of 6.08 km2; a population of 52,909 people; 27 neighborhoods, 233 residential groups; 11 public schools and 2 medical stations. The ward Party Committee has 76 affiliated party organizations, with more than 5,000 party members. The total number of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the ward is 637 people.

In the early days of operating under the 2-level local government model, the organizational system initially operated smoothly and effectively. In particular, the activities of receiving and handling administrative procedures at the Ward Public Administration Service Center have been operating in a disciplined manner since the first day, meeting the needs of handling administrative procedures of people and businesses in the area.

Schools and medical stations in the area continue to operate smoothly, fully performing their functions and tasks according to the management hierarchy, meeting the learning and health care needs of the people. The Party Committee and the ward government have promptly grasped the situation, assigned cadres in charge of the area, regularly inspected, guided, and removed difficulties in the process of implementing tasks. Thereby, ensuring the stable operation of educational and medical facilities in the area.

Inspecting the reality at some educational and medical facilities and the operation of the 2-level local government model, comrade Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, emphasized that after the arrangement, Ha Long ward is the locality holding the position of political, economic and cultural center of the province. The expectations of the Party Committee, government and people of the whole province for the development of the ward are very high. Therefore, the arrangement and assignment of cadres for the ward, especially the head, has been trusted and carefully considered.

Highly appreciating the results in the first days of operating under the 2-level local government model of Ha Long ward, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the ward to continue to focus on fully and comprehensively implementing the decentralized functions and tasks, not to miss any tasks or areas, and to increasingly better meet the needs of the people.

Regarding educational institutions and medical stations in the area, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the ward to coordinate with the health and education sectors to study the arrangement plan in the coming time, ensuring both streamlining the focal points and further improving the quality of operations and effectively using existing facilities. In addition, he requested to further strengthen the application of information technology and digital transformation in management work to improve the quality of service to the people.

The Provincial Party Secretary also noted that, with its location in the central urban area, Ha Long ward has important cultural and social institutions of the whole province. Therefore, the ward must have a plan to receive, manage and operate effectively, meeting the requirements of organizing large-scale cultural and sports activities. The ward must closely coordinate with neighboring wards to ensure the connectivity of the invested urban infrastructure system and maintain the stability of public services in the area; absolutely do not let the arrangement and organization of the apparatus affect the operation of cultural and social institutions and urban landscape. Along with that, the ward also needs to continue to implement the goals and orientations for urban development and landscape renovation that have been identified by Ha Long city in the past. Thereby, continuing to maintain its position as the political - economic - cultural center of the whole province.
