Lien Chieu Ward dismantles constructions and shops encroaching on sidewalks

DNO - On November 24, the People's Committee of Lien Chieu ward organized a campaign to dismantle constructions, shops, roofs, and items encroaching on sidewalks and public land, from the intersection of Lac Long Quan - Au Co streets to Thanh Vinh market.

Previously, the Ward People's Committee had notified and mobilized households and businesses to voluntarily relocate and dismantle violating items.

During the campaign, the authorities made a record of each case, recorded images, and temporarily seized evidence according to regulations; resolutely handled cases of non-compliance, and at the same time, propagated to households to limit re-encroachment.

According to a representative of the People's Committee of Lien Chieu Ward, this is a traffic route with high density of vehicles and business activities, so the situation of canopies, temporary shops, and items placed on the sidewalk is complicated, causing traffic insecurity and affecting environmental sanitation.

The campaign aims to clean up the land for the Au Co road expansion project, urban beautification, and ensure traffic order and safety. This activity also aims to raise people's awareness in complying with regulations on the proper use of public land, sidewalks, and roads.
