O Cho Dua Ward summarizes the 1st Sports Congress

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of O Cho Dua Ward Trinh Dan Ly said that the Congress was organized with a highly professional spirit, closely following 4 main goals: Promoting the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", improving health, creating a healthy playground to connect the community, and selecting excellent athletes to participate in the 11th Capital Sports Festival in 2025.

“The congress is not only a cultural and sports activity, but also demonstrates the deep concern of the local Party Committee and government for the mass physical education and sports movement; it is a clear demonstration of the spirit of solidarity and strong development of O Cho Dua ward in recent times,” comrade Trinh Dan Ly emphasized.

With the slogan "Healthy to build and protect the Fatherland", the Congress attracted 700 athletes of all ages and backgrounds to compete in 8 sports: Chess, Chinese chess, basketball, tug of war, badminton, football, pickleball, and athletics.

At the end of the Congress, the athletes won 157 prizes, including: 48 first prizes, 48 second prizes, and 61 third prizes.

The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of O Cho Dua Ward affirmed that the first Sports Festival was a complete success, demonstrated by the methodical and disciplined organization and absolute safety assurance. More importantly, the Festival created a positive and profound social impact, arousing the spirit of solidarity, competition to improve health in the whole ward, connecting the community.

This success is an important premise, a lever for the ward to continue to consolidate, expand and enhance the sports movement, aiming to build a healthy, united and civilized community. Beautiful images, memorable sports moments have connected the community, creating motivation for the ward's sports movement to continue to develop more strongly in the coming time.

At the conference, the ward commended collectives and individuals who had excellently completed the organization and service work; and awarded First, Second and Third prizes to the winning athletes.
