According to the special correspondent of VNA, during the official visit to the Republic of Algeria, on the afternoon of November 20 local time, in the capital Algiers, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife visited the Vovinam Federation.
From the first Vovinam class in Algeria in 2001 with 41 students, after 25 years, Vietnamese martial arts are now present in many places in Algeria as well as developing in many other African countries.
In Algeria alone, there are currently hundreds of Vivonam clubs located in 37/58 provinces and cities across the country; becoming one of the countries with the largest number of martial arts students, second only to Vietnam.
Attending the Vovinam performance of the Algerian Vovinam National Team and athletes of the Vovinam Federation in Algeria, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked his Algerian friends and 31,000 Vovinam athletes in Algeria, not only demonstrating the noble spirit of sportsmanship and community health but also full of special affection for the country, people of Vietnam and Vovinam. The Prime Minister wished the Vietnam-Algeria friendship to be forever green, everlasting, and the spirit of Vovinam to live forever.
This is the final activity of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh during his official visit to the Republic of Algeria.
On the same evening, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, left Algeria for South Africa to attend the G20 Summit and bilateral activities in South Africa at the invitation of the President of the Republic of South Africa, G20 Chair 2025, Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa./.
