Da Nang activates emergency situation due to landslides and subsidence in many areas

On November 22, the People's Committee of Da Nang City activated an emergency situation in many areas after prolonged heavy rain caused subsidence and landslides, damaging infrastructure.

In Tay Giang commune, many residential areas such as Agrong village (Co Tu Traditional Village), Achiing village and Axoo village have experienced subsidence, threatening the safety of people's houses. The authorities require continuous monitoring and readiness to evacuate people when the weather worsens.

Landslides are also occurring seriously along the Thu Bon river bank in the area of ​​Ong Huu bridge, Phu Lac village, group 3 Phu Da 1 village, group 10 Thanh Xuyen village, group 11 Tinh Yen village (Thu Bon commune, Da Nang city). The length of the landslide that needs to be handled is about 500m. On-site forces have been strengthened to warn, isolate and guide people to stay away from dangerous areas.

Heavy rain combined with the impact of storm No. 12 damaged the approach road to Duy Phuoc bridge (Ba Ngan bridge, Hoi An ward). The city People's Committee has requested urgent repairs to ensure traffic safety.
