The Ministry of Construction directed Project Management Board 85 to take over and restore traffic on Mimosa Pass before November 30.

On November 23, Lam Dong Department of Construction said that the Ministry of Construction had sent an urgent dispatch, requesting Project Management Board 85 to take over and speed up the repair work, ensuring temporary traffic opening before November 30, 2025 on the Mimosa Pass route.

The construction unit is leveling and opening the road to temporarily restore traffic.

Mimosa Pass belongs to the Project to renovate and upgrade the section through Mimosa Pass and some works on National Highway 20, Lam Dong province, invested by Project Management Board 85 ( Ministry of Construction ).

Due to the impact of heavy rains lasting from November 18 to 19, at the section from Km 226+600 to Km 226+800 of Mimosa Pass, the negative slope and the roadbed and surface collapsed, creating a deep hole, completely cutting off traffic on the route.

The Minister of Construction directed Project Management Board 85 to take over and speed up the repair work at Mimosa Pass.

Immediately after the incident, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued a Decision declaring a natural disaster emergency at Mimosa Pass and National Highway 20; at the same time, directed the Lam Dong Department of Construction to implement traffic diversion and prohibit vehicles from passing through the dangerous area.

The Ministry of Construction has issued an urgent dispatch, requesting Project Management Board 85 to take over and speed up the repair work, ensuring temporary traffic opening before November 30, 2025 on the Mimosa Pass route.

The Minister of Construction also directed Project Management Board 85 to review the entire Mimosa Project, detect potential safety risks and have timely solutions to ensure long-term safety.

Lam Dong province and relevant agencies are requested to prioritize support in terms of materials and human resources so that the emergency project can be deployed quickly.

This is a joint effort to soon restore the vital route, ensuring safety and smooth traffic in the area.
