On the evening of November 22, President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil left Hanoi , concluding his official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, from November 18 to 22, 2025.
During his official visit to Vietnam, President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and laid a wreath at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street, Hanoi.
General Secretary To Lam and President Luong Cuong had meetings with the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man welcomed and held talks with President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil.
At the meetings and talks, the Vietnamese leaders welcomed President Milos Vystrcil and the high-ranking delegation of the Senate of the Czech Republic on an official visit to Vietnam; assessed the visit as having important significance, demonstrating the desire and determination of the leaders and people of the two countries in continuously consolidating and developing the traditional friendship and good cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic that has been nurtured and tested over more than 75 years since the two countries established diplomatic relations, while creating a new impetus to bring the newly established Strategic Partnership to a new height, increasingly substantive and effective.
Vietnamese leaders hope that the legislative bodies of the two countries will continue to coordinate closely, create a legal corridor, and facilitate efforts to promote cooperation between the two countries, meeting the common interests of the two nations.
Expressing his pleasure to visit Vietnam and thanking the Vietnamese leaders for taking the time to receive the delegation, President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil expressed his high agreement with the cooperation orientations set forth by the Vietnamese leaders, affirming that he personally and the Senate of the Czech Republic will make efforts to coordinate with the Vietnamese National Assembly, support the Government and local ministries and branches to promote the traditional friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation, on the basis of mutual respect, with Vietnam.
In that spirit, the Czech Senate is ready to urge the remaining European Union (EU) member countries to soon ratify the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA).
During the visit, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Chairman of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil visited the underground archaeological site of the National Assembly.
President of the Senate of the National Assembly of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil met with Czech-Vietnamese businesses; visited the “Little Hanoi, Next Generation” Exhibition; worked with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society; attended the opening ceremony of the European Film Festival in Vietnam and the screening of the Czech film “Summer School 2001”; visited the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Diplomatic Academies of the two countries.
President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil also paid working visits to Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ninh province./.
