The General Secretary assessed that the visit created new momentum to bring the newly established Strategic Partnership to a new height, making it increasingly substantive and effective.

The General Secretary said that the two-way trade turnover of 2 billion USD is still modest, not commensurate with the potential and strengths as well as the good political relations between the two countries.

According to the General Secretary, with many famous products that do not compete with each other, the two sides need to increase trade promotion activities to increase turnover to 5 billion USD in the next few years.

At the same time, through each other's markets to connect with European and Southeast Asian markets to enhance strategic autonomy, diversify markets and supply sources, and participate more deeply in global supply chains and value chains.

The General Secretary suggested that the two sides increase delegation exchanges at all levels and between Party, State and National Assembly channels, local cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, and coordinate and support each other at international organizations and multilateral forums.

At the same time, promote cooperation in economics, trade, investment, defense - security, science - technology, education - training, culture and tourism.

The General Secretary also suggested that the two sides expand cooperation in new fields such as clean energy, renewable energy, and digital transformation to "awaken the potential" of bilateral cooperation.

At the meeting, the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic expressed his high agreement with the cooperation orientations mentioned by the General Secretary, and affirmed that he and the Senate of the Czech Republic will make efforts to coordinate with the National Assembly of Vietnam, support the Government and local ministries and branches to promote traditional friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation, on the basis of mutual respect, with Vietnam.

The Czech Senate is ready to urge the remaining EU member states to soon ratify the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA).

The two leaders agreed that in addition to the historical foundation of a very good relationship, the two countries also possess invaluable assets to continuously promote bilateral relations in the coming time.

The two sides agreed to accelerate the development, agreement and implementation of an action plan to realize the content of the Vietnam - Czech Strategic Partnership, turning potentials and strengths into specific, practical and effective cooperation projects, meeting the wishes and interests of both sides.

The President of the Czech Senate affirmed his support for resolving disputes by peaceful means on the basis of international law, for peace, stability and development in each region and the world, and supported Vietnam's stance on the East Sea.

The visit is of great significance.

On the same afternoon, after the official welcoming ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Chairman of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil held talks.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man assessed the visit as having important significance, taking place on the occasion of the two countries celebrating the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations (1950-2025) and the first year of implementing the Vietnam-Czech Strategic Partnership framework.

The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to promoting the traditional friendship and good multifaceted cooperation with the Czech Republic, Vietnam's first strategic partner in Central Eastern Europe.

Senate President Milos Vystrcil affirmed that the Czech Republic always wants to further deepen bilateral cooperation in all fields.

Taking note of the proposals of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Senate Chairman Milos Vystrcil affirmed that the Czech National Assembly supports and will continue to urge the remaining EU member countries to soon ratify the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA).

The two leaders agreed to continue to increase contacts and exchanges of delegations at all levels, especially high-level ones, through all channels of the Party, State, Government, National Assembly and people to further enhance political trust and mutual understanding, as a foundation to promote and expand bilateral cooperation in all fields.

The two sides agreed to increase exchanges of high-ranking delegations of the National Assembly, specialized committees, parliamentary friendship groups, female parliamentarians' groups and young parliamentarians' groups, to exchange information and experience in the field of parliamentary activities.

The two sides agreed to cooperate in monitoring, urging and supporting the two governments to effectively implement cooperation agreements between the two countries.

The two sides also assessed trade and investment cooperation as one of the important pillars in the bilateral relationship and welcomed cooperation projects between the two countries in Vietnam such as the Skoda Automobile Factory and Mong Duong 2 Thermal Power Plant in Quang Ninh province.
