The contest attracted 13 units of the Association of War Veterans of communes and wards to participate. Each unit created a contest program with a duration of no more than 15 minutes with the following genres: solo, duet, trio, group singing; folk song suite, folk song skit, scene, spoken play. The units chose content praising the Party, Uncle Ho, Uncle Ho's soldiers, the Vietnam Association of War Veterans, praising the homeland of Tam Ky - Quang Nam .
The units invested in elaborate competition parts, mobilized a large cast of extras, most of the performances had accompanying dances, invested carefully in costumes; performed confidently and professionally. Thereby creating excitement for the competition, attracting a large number of CCB members and people to watch and cheer.
The Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the Association of War Veterans of Phuoc Hoa Ward; 2 second prizes to An My and An Xuan Wards; 2 third prizes to Tam Thanh Commune and Hoa Huong Ward.
