In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, representatives of the Party Committee, government, army and people of Tung Thien ward respectfully offered incense at the Memorial, commemorating the great contributions of the heroic martyrs, the outstanding sons of Tung Thien homeland who heroically sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland.
In front of the heroic martyrs, the Party Committee, government and people of Tung Thien ward are willing to promote the revolutionary tradition, uphold the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness, creativity, and determination to successfully carry out the tasks of economic , cultural, social, national defense and security development, build a strong local government, and actively contribute to the cause of building an increasingly rich, civilized and modern capital.




Speaking at the ceremony, Party Secretary and Chairwoman of the People's Council of Tung Thien Ward, Do Thi Lan Huong, emphasized that the candle lighting ceremony to honor martyrs is not only an occasion to remember, but also a journey of gratitude lit by the hearts of the living. The leaders of Tung Thien Ward called on all levels, sectors, cadres, party members, union members, businesses, agencies, military units and each citizen to contribute more to the implementation of the policy of "Repaying gratitude"; doing many specific, practical and meaningful things for war invalids, families of martyrs, families of policy beneficiaries, and people with meritorious services to the Fatherland.
Chairwoman of the People's Council of Tung Thien Ward Do Thi Lan Huong also hopes that war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, and families with meritorious services will continue to promote revolutionary traditions, promote family traditions, strive to study, work, produce, and do business as a shining example for generations to follow, making the family tradition and Tung Thien homeland shine.
At the ceremony, delegates and a large number of cadres, people, union members and youth offered incense and lit candles in gratitude at each martyrs' grave. Each incense stick and candle is a message of gratitude, a bridge connecting today's generation with the nation's glorious past. This is an activity with profound political and social significance, leaving many emotions and impressions in the hearts of cadres and people attending, contributing to educating the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" for today's and future generations.
Also on the evening of July 25, at Xuan Son Martyrs Cemetery and Trung Son Tram Martyrs Cemetery (Tung Thien Ward), a candle lighting ceremony took place to pay tribute to heroic martyrs.
