The first Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet arrives in Vietnam, over 16 billion

The latest generation of Porsche 911 sports cars, 992.2, was officially sold in Vietnam earlier this year, and nearly 10 cars have been delivered to Vietnamese tycoons, one of which is the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet 2025.

This is also currently one of the two most expensive Porsche 911 convertibles being sold officially in Vietnam. The price of the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet starts at 14.54 billion VND, and one thing is for sure, the first owner in Vietnam will have to spend at least more than 16 billion VND to own this car, including options and on-road price.

The person who chooses to buy this Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet 992.2 convertible sports car must have a lot of taste and be willing to spend, because the rolling price can be over 16 billion VND, not less than the selling price of the limited edition Porsche 911 Dakar, of which only 2,560 units are available worldwide .

The new Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet is the first production Porsche 911 to feature lightweight high-performance hybrid technology. The newly developed and innovative powertrain, with a displacement of 3.6 litres, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 312 km/h.

The lightweight and powerful T-Hybrid system features a completely new electric turbocharger without wastegates that allows the use of just one turbocharger instead of two as before, ensuring more flexible power delivery and quicker response.

The drive system also includes a permanent magnet synchronous motor integrated into the new, more powerful eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (PDK). Even at idle speed, this electric motor supports the boxer engine with up to 150 Nm of additional torque and provides a power boost of up to 40 kW.

Porsche connects both electric motors to a compact, lightweight high-voltage battery. The size and weight of this battery pack corresponds to that of a conventional 12 V starter battery, but it stores up to 1.9 kWh (gross) of energy and operates at 400 V. To optimize the overall weight, Porsche installed a lightweight lithium-ion battery for the 12 V electrical system on the vehicle.

Even without electric assistance, the boxer engine delivers 357 kW (485 PS) and 570 Nm of torque. In total, the system output amounts to 398 kW (541 PS) and 610 Nm. Compared to the previous version, the increase in output is 45 kW (61 PS).

The new Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet also outperforms its predecessor in the sprint to 100 km/h, especially when starting from a standstill.

The efficient hybrid system delivers dynamic driving characteristics and reduced CO2 emissions while being significantly lighter than plug-in hybrid models. The new model weighs just 50kg more than the previous generation.

The suspension of the 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet has also been comprehensively revised. For the first time, rear-axle steering is fitted as standard. The system increases stability at high speeds and reduces the turning radius.

Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) has been integrated into the high-voltage hybrid architecture, allowing control via an electro-hydraulic system, making it more agile and precise.

The sports suspension with variable damping (PASM) and a 10 mm reduction in ground clearance provide handling characteristics unique to the GTS. Finally, the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet has a soft top that opens or closes at the touch of a button, and there is an additional shield behind the seats when the top is down.
