The Red River Clean Water Plant project to supply water to the southern area of Vinh Phuc province with a design capacity of 29,000 m3/day and night was approved by the Provincial People's Committee and adjusted the planning in the Decision approving the local adjustment of the urban water supply planning project of Vinh Phuc to 2030, with a vision to 2050.
This is one of the key clean water investment projects in the province to meet the needs of people and businesses and serve the construction of new rural areas in the two districts of Vinh Tuong and Yen Lac as well as actively support the production activities of enterprises in the Dong Soc industrial cluster; support water supply for the southern area of Vinh Yen city and Phuc Yen city.
With a total investment of more than 1 trillion VND, the project uses surface water from the Red River, applying Lamella sedimentation technology according to European standards, ensuring clean water standards prescribed by the Ministry of Health .
After more than 2 years of inauguration and putting into use phase I, the project has a capacity of 3,000m3/day and night, providing clean water to nearly 6,000 customers in some communes and towns in Vinh Tuong district such as Vinh Tuong, An Nhan, Vinh Phu, Vinh Thinh... Completed installation of pipelines and agreement on water supply to Dong Van Industrial Park (Yen Lac); completed installation of water pipelines in Dong Soc Industrial Park (Vinh Tuong) and is negotiating with the investor.
To serve the task of socio-economic development in the area, increase the rate of rural households using clean water meeting standards from centralized water supply works, especially implementing the construction of new rural areas, Procons Construction Joint Stock Company has coordinated with local Party committees and authorities in the district to strengthen propaganda work, raise awareness of people in rural areas about using clean water from centralized water supply works.
At the same time, actively deploy the route, speed up the construction progress so that the project can be put into use soon, providing clean water to localities. Thereby improving the quality of life of the people, ensuring the criteria for rural households to use clean water.
Up to now, the rate of households using clean water according to standards from the centralized water supply system in the whole Vinh Tuong district has reached 43.06%. The district has 13 communes meeting advanced NTM standards, 3 communes meeting model NTM standards and 55 villages meeting smart village standards, aiming towards the roadmap to "reach the finish line" of the NTM district in the period of 2020 - 2025.
Ms. Phung Thi Ha, Noi village, Yen Binh commune (Vinh Tuong) happily said: "My family used to use water stored in tanks and then filtered it ourselves. However, recently, the water has often been cloudy yellow so we dare not use it, sometimes we have to buy bottled purified water for cooking. Since the commune started to build advanced new rural areas, we can use clean water directly without filtering for daily activities, we feel more secure."
Mr. Nguyen Duy Hieu, Deputy Director in charge of technology at the Red River Clean Water Plant, said: In the coming time, the company will continue to maintain a stable water supply and reduce water loss. At the same time, it will increase investment in upgrading and expanding the domestic water supply system by accelerating the construction of two water supply routes to Yen Lac district, including the route to the center of Yen Lac town, the route to Binh Xuyen district and the construction of the route from National Highway 2 to Dong Van commune. Thereby effectively meeting the demand for clean water for production and daily life of residential areas and industrial parks in the area.
With the goal of improving water supply capacity, increasingly meeting the clean water needs of people and businesses, Procons Construction Joint Stock Company continues to develop and expand new pipelines in industrial parks, urban areas, and residential areas in the area according to decentralization. Focus on improving the quality of customer care services; coordinate with local authorities to strengthen propaganda work, raise awareness among households about using water economically, avoiding waste, and preventing water loss.
