District 12, Ho Chi Minh City recruits more than 100 preschool and primary school teachers

According to announcement No. 3551 of the People's Committee of District 12, this district is recruiting civil servants with the number of 25 preschool teachers, 87 elementary school teachers: 40 multi-subject teachers, 9 English teachers, 15 IT teachers, 7 physical education teachers, 4 music teachers, 6 art teachers, 6 teachers in charge of general affairs.

Also according to the above document, the People's Committee of District 12 recruits civil servants in the education and training sector in 2023 for many other positions such as junior high school teachers, high school teachers, specialized school teachers, accountants, clerical staff, medical staff, librarians, information technology staff, and support staff for people with disabilities.

In total, this time, the People's Committee of District 12 needs to recruit 255 officials in the education and training sector, including teachers and staff.

Conditions for registration for civil servant recruitment

Candidates must meet the following conditions:

Have Vietnamese nationality and reside in Vietnam; Be 18 years of age or older and of working age according to the provisions of labor law; Have an application form; Have a clear background;
Have a training certificate or practice certificate suitable for the job position applied for. In case of having a diploma issued by a foreign training institution, it must be notarized and translated into Vietnamese and recognized by the Department of Testing andEducation Quality Assessment of the Ministry of Education and Training;
Be healthy enough to perform the job or task; Meet other conditions as required by the job position as determined by the public service unit but not contrary to the provisions of law.

What qualifications and certificates are required to apply for a position as a preschool or primary school teacher?

For the position of preschool teacher (professional title of preschool teacher grade III, code V.07.02.26), candidates need to have a college degree in preschool education or higher; a training certificate according to the standards of the professional title of preschool teacher.

For the position of primary school teacher (professional title of primary school teacher grade III, code V.07.03.29), applicants must have a bachelor's degree or higher in teacher training for primary school teachers.

In case the subject does not have enough teachers with a bachelor's degree in teacher training, the candidate must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant major and a certificate of pedagogical training for primary school teachers according to the program issued by the Minister of Education and Training; have a certificate of training according to the professional title standards of primary school teachers.

It is worth noting that applicants can only apply for one job position. If a person applies for two or more positions, his/her name will be removed from the candidate list or the application results will be canceled.

According to information at the conference on building a project to attract primary school teachers in Ho Chi Minh City on February 7, Ho Chi Minh City is still short of 3,643 primary school teachers, equivalent to 12.8% of the number of teachers needed. This means that each teacher currently has to "shoulder" 12.8% more work than the actual amount of work they only undertake.

The number of teachers recruited in many subjects in the past 3 years is almost enough to meet the recruitment demand. However, the number of remaining teachers is much less than the demand, especially teachers of fine arts, information technology and general managers. The demand for recruiting English teachers is very high. However, the number of recruited foreign language teachers has not met the actual demand.

The recruitment of civil servants for the Education and Training sector in District 12 in 2023 will be conducted in 2 rounds, round 1 will check the standard conditions through the application and round 2 will be an interview.
