In order to preserve, maintain, introduce and promote the cultural beauty of the community of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups; enhance local cultural and tourism promotion activities; meet the needs of people and tourists to visit, experience and learn about the culture of ethnic groups, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism plans to develop a framework plan for organizing activities in 2026 at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism with the following contents:
Re-enact and introduce the traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities with activities such as: Organizing the event "Spring colors in all regions of the country" (Expected time to organize from February 27, 28 - March 1, 2026). This is an annual activity to recreate and honor the beauty of traditional Tet culture of the community of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. The event demonstrates the attention of Party and State leaders through activities of meeting and wishing Tet to compatriots, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc and spreading traditional cultural values;

Organize "Vietnam Ethnic Culture Day" (Expected to take place from April 17 to 19, 2026). The activity is organized to connect, exchange and share experiences in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, strengthening solidarity and arousing pride and patriotism in the community.
Along with that is the event "Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" Week (Expected time to be held from November 18 to 23, 2026). The event introduces typical cultural heritages, performs folk arts, traditional crafts, and unique customs and practices of ethnic groups, contributing to raising public awareness in preserving cultural identity and promoting exchange and connection between regions. And the activity "Highland Market" (The event is held in conjunction with the celebration of major national holidays: Liberation of the South April 30, International Labor Day May 1, National Day September 2 and New Year);...
In addition, in 2026, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism plans to organize activities associated with cultural weeks, cultural days, local tourism festivals; fairs, exhibitions to promote tourism, promote craft village products, OCOP products... associated with promoting regional cultural and tourism values; exhibitions and displays of traditional ethnic cultural values; organize festivals and competitions on folk art and traditional local arts at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village to enhance exchanges, promote and connect cultural values associated with sustainable tourism development.
To supplement and complete the Framework Plan for organizing activities in 2026 at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to pay attention, coordinate and direct relevant units to implement the following contents: Register and develop a local plan for activities in 2026 at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.
Send local ethnic community delegations to participate in annual and monthly activities and events based on themes and events associated with major holidays and important historical events of the country at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism; Coordinate and support the selection of local artisans and ethnic people to participate in daily activities on a rotation basis from 3 to 6 months or longer depending on actual conditions; ensure 16 to 18 ethnic groups regularly operate at the Village by 2026.
The application form must be sent to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Department of Culture of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups, No. 01 Hoa Lu, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi) before July 21, 2025.
