Long Lanh Pass also has many other names such as Hon Giao Pass, Bidoup Pass or Omega Pass, located entirely in Da Chais Commune (Lac Duong, Lam Dong ). Each name has its own meaning, sometimes associated with mountains, sometimes associated with people, sometimes expressing unique, rare beauty.

It is said that in the past, there was a group that went to survey the route connecting the flower city of Da Lat (Lam Dong) with the coastal city of Nha Trang ( Khanh Hoa ). From the vast, gloomy forests, after a night sleeping in tents, when they woke up in the morning, they saw dew drops in the early morning sun more beautiful than many other places, they called it the "glittering route".
Long Lanh Pass is 30 km long, passing through the Lang Biang mountain range and Bidoup National Park. Da Chais commune, where the pass “crawls”, has a large area (341.04 km2) nearly half the area of Bac Ninh province (823.1 km2) and is a commune bordering three provinces: Ninh Thuan , Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak.
The land is vast and the population is sparse, so the air is fresh. There are many precious woods here, but one tree that needs to be mentioned is the agarwood tree. For many people who used to work as agarwood hunters, the forests here are not unfamiliar to them. If you can approach them and become really friendly, they will reveal to you a few secrets, such as listening to the birds chirping at night to guess the location of the agarwood tree. And the next morning, they will follow the birdsong from last night to find the area with agarwood.
In the mountain passes conquered to reach Da Lat, each mountain pass is an impressive destination. But for a tourist, just "riding a horse to see the flowers" is enough, enjoying this mountain pass by motorbike not only challenges the ability to sit on the saddle when going through the curves but also makes you have to show your courage to avoid bursting out of emotion before the poetic beauty of the winding mountains and forests.
It is rare for someone to see the mist covering the vast hills and mountains. It is not easy to have moments of watching the sun rise or cast shadows while there are still dew drops lingering on the grass and trees. And it is also difficult to have moments when the soul is freed from the hustle and bustle of the city to be replaced by pure, airy spaces. Try conquering Long Lanh Pass once to receive poetic, precious experiences that cannot be exchanged.
