According to information from the Defense Command of Region 3 - Quy Chau (Ministry of
Nghe An Provincial Military Command), due to the impact of storm No. 3, in recent days, in the area of the Defense Command of Region 3 - Quy Chau, there have been thunderstorms, landslides, and localized flooding.
As of the morning of July 23, in 26 communes and wards under the Defense Command of Area 3 - Quy Chau, 14 houses had their roofs blown off, 198 houses were flooded, of which 13 were completely flooded (in Muong Cat, Na Hum, Na Luom villages of Muong Quang commune; Hong Phong, Thai Phong, Bon, Puc villages of Que Phong commune); 20 houses suffered landslides (in Tuc Pang, Na Chao - Pieng Van, Muong Cat, Ban Loc, Muong Piet, Muong Phu, Khu Na, Pu Duoc villages of Thong Thu commune).

In particular, on National Highway 48A, there are 3 deep flooded spots with a length of about 10km, National Highway 48D has 3 flooded spots with a length of about 12km; National Highway 16 has 2 flooded spots with a length of about 2km. 4 spillways in Muong Quang and Que Phong communes were completely flooded, including 1 suspension bridge in Quanh village that was swept away by the flood. More than 1,100 hectares of rice, crops, and timber trees were damaged...
On the evening of July 22 and morning of July 23, Military Region 4 mobilized 728 militiamen from 26 communes and wards in the area and nearly 200 officers and soldiers from the Defense Command of Region 3 - Quy Chau, Border Guard Stations Thong Thu, Tri Le, Hanh Dich and Economic - Defense Group 4 to support households whose roofs were blown off, evacuate people and property in deeply flooded areas to safety and re-roof houses for affected households; evacuate households in areas at risk of flash floods out of dangerous areas.

In particular, concentrated in the communes of Que Phong, Muong Quang, Tri Le, Thong Thu, Chau Binh, Chau Tien, Quy Chau, Quy Hop. The Defense Command of Area 3 - Quy Chau mobilized 3 motorboats to support people to cross flooded areas in Ke Khoang village, Chau Binh commune. In addition, more than 110 local militia officers and soldiers and commune police organized to keep watch at flooded culverts to ensure people's safety.

By the afternoon of July 23, the rain had stopped and the water was receding. The Defense Command of Region 3 - Quy Chau continued to direct the Military Commands of communes and towns to coordinate with local units to grasp the situation, be ready to respond to situations and continue to help people overcome the consequences.
