Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong - Director of the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Hoa Thanh town said that since 2020, in the process of coordinating the implementation of policy credit at the grassroots level as well as through meetings and dialogues with young people, the unit has grasped the capital needs for production and business of young people who have completed their military service to the Fatherland and returned to their localities.
These are young people who have been trained and matured in terms of courage, knowledge, sense of organization, discipline, solidarity and physical strength in the military environment. When returning to their hometowns, these young people continue to promote their enthusiasm in labor and production.
The Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Hoa Thanh town has coordinated with the competent authorities to review and advise the People's Committee of Hoa Thanh town to annually allocate a part of the budget to transfer to preferential loans for demobilized youth.
On May 28, 2024, the Provincial People's Council issued Resolution No. 74/2024/NQ-HDND, which specifies loans for young people who have completed their military service and People's Public Security service from local budget sources, aiming to provide preferential loans so that young people who have completed their military service have capital for production, business, economic development, improve family life, create jobs, ensure social security, stabilize their lives after discharge, contributing to the implementation of the National Target Program on new rural construction in the locality.
After a period of implementation, up to now, the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Hoa Thanh town has coordinated with socio- political organizations and People's Committees of communes and wards to disburse 4 billion VND to 59 young people who have completed their military service for production, business and economic development.
In Hiep Tan ward, Hoa Thanh town, recently, the Women's Union of the ward has always paid attention to and coordinated with associations and organizations to promote propaganda work to parents whose children are demobilized soldiers, creating conditions for them to know about local preferential policies.
The transaction office of the Social Policy Bank of Hoa Thanh town also coordinated with the People's Committee and socio-political organizations of Hiep Tan ward to review beneficiaries in need of loans and provide guidance on loan procedures to ensure that they are suitable for the right subjects according to regulations.
Truong Quoc Bao, born in 2004, residing in Hiep Hoa quarter, Hiep Tan ward, Hoa Thanh town, enlisted on February 8, 2023 and was discharged on January 15, 2025. After returning to his hometown, Quoc Bao wanted to have a stable job to take care of his family, but due to difficult circumstances, his dream could not be realized.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Thoa (born in 1983), Quoc Bao's mother, shared: "I heard the Ward Women's Union propagate and popularize the policy of supporting discharged youths with capital to do business. With a loan of 30 million VND, the family used it to buy vehicles and necessary items for their son to do business. Thanks to the bank loan, the family's life is less difficult, and they have money to cover their living expenses."
Ms. Phan Nhi Linh - President of the Women's Union of Hiep Tan Ward said: "The program of providing capital support for demobilized soldiers is a meaningful and practical activity, showing care and support for soldiers who have completed their duty to the Fatherland. Thereby helping them have capital to stabilize their lives and develop their family economy".
According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong - Director of the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Hoa Thanh town, in the coming time, the unit will continue to closely follow the Party's guidelines and the State's legal policies on policy credit, coordinate with socio-political organizations, People's Committees of communes and wards to deploy loans to the right beneficiaries, promote the effectiveness of capital sources, contribute to the effective implementation of the guidelines, policies, goals and tasks set by the Party and the State on sustainable poverty reduction, new rural construction; focus on developing human resources, ensuring social security, political stability, national defense and security, economic and social development in the town.
It can be seen that, thanks to the effective implementation of the military rear policy, many demobilized young people have found suitable jobs, stabilized their lives, improved their economic life and contributed to ensuring local social security.
