Quang Nam did not consider approving the investment policy of the Iron Ore Mining and Processing Project in Nui Mun area, Tam Thanh commune, Phu Ninh district as requested by the 6666 Industrial Minerals Group Joint Stock Company.

The People's Committee of Quang Nam province has just agreed not to consider approving the investment policy of the Iron Ore Mining and Processing Project in Nui Mun area, Tam Thanh commune, Phu Ninh district as requested by the 6666 Industrial Minerals Group Joint Stock Company.

Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee believes that mineral exploitation in the above-mentioned area will only be carried out when Phu Ninh District People's Committee and relevant departments and branches assess that it will bring socio -economic efficiency, not affect the environment, be agreed by local people and must be carried out through auctioning mineral exploitation rights.

The Provincial People's Committee requests the People's Committee of Phu Ninh district, the Department of Planning and Investment, and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to notify the above content of the Provincial People's Committee to the 6666 Industrial Minerals Group Joint Stock Company for information and implementation in accordance with legal regulations.

Regarding the Project to Close the Gold Mine at Bong Mieu Mine, Tam Lanh Commune, Phu Ninh District, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and coordinate with the Phu Ninh District People's Committee and related sectors to research and advise the Provincial People's Committee (after completing the Project to Close the Gold Mine at Bong Mieu Mine, Tam Lanh Commune, Phu Ninh District) to report to the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee to submit to the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the policy of allowing gold mining in Bong Mieu area to manage and control mining in this area well.

After receiving comments from the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue a document requesting the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to organize an auction to select a unit to carry out mineral exploitation procedures in the Bong Mieu gold mine area.
