According to the Earthquake Information and Tsunami Warning Center, Institute of Earth Sciences (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology), on the afternoon of May 28th, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.7 was recorded in the Mang Den commune area, Quang Ngai province; the natural disaster risk level is 0.
Specifically, the earthquake occurred at 4:08:08 PM on May 28th ( Hanoi time) at coordinates 14.759 degrees North latitude; 108.263 degrees East longitude; and a focal depth of approximately 8.1 meters.
The earthquake in this area has been classified by experts at the Earthquake Information and Tsunami Warning Center as an induced earthquake. It is predicted that earthquakes will continue in the area, but their magnitude is unlikely to exceed 5.5.
However, detailed research still needs to be carried out immediately to assess seismic activity in this area.
