Quang Ngai and VNPT cooperate comprehensively in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation

Leaders of Quang Ngai province and VNPT Group performed the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement on science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation for the 2025-2030 period.

Attending the signing ceremony were comrades: To Dung Thai, Member of the Government Party Executive Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of VNPT Group; Nguyen Hoang Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee of the Provincial People's Committee on science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation and Project 06 of Quang Ngai province.

The content of the agreement between Quang Ngai province and VNPT Group aims at comprehensive cooperation in developing digital infrastructure, digital data, applying modern technology, promoting digital economy - digital society - digital government and improving digital capacity for officials, businesses and people.

Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang spoke at the signing ceremony.

Specifically, strengthening the construction of digital government, digital economy, digital society; upgrading digital infrastructure and digital data; developing modern technology applications; enhancing network safety and security, protecting personal and organizational data; developing digital human resources, improving community digital capacity; promoting application in key areas of the province.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang emphasized that the cooperation agreement signed today demonstrates the trust, responsibility and determination of both sides in realizing the goal of sustainable socio-economic development of Quang Ngai province.

“The People’s Committee of Quang Ngai province assigns the Department of Science and Technology to act as the focal point to advise and coordinate with VNPT Group and relevant departments, branches and localities to effectively and substantially implement the contents of the cooperation agreement. At the same time, create the most favorable conditions for the cooperation contents to be implemented quickly, effectively and put into practice”, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Quang Ngai province Nguyen Hoang Giang pledged.

To successfully implement the goal of comprehensive digital transformation, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province Nguyen Hoang Giang said that the province has identified 5 key task groups.

Firstly, continue to promote the effectiveness of the province's shared systems; in which, prioritize the implementation of the operation of the Quang Ngai province's Intelligent Operation Center (IOC) in accordance with the guidance of the Ministry of Science and Technology; standardize data of sectors; deploy artificial intelligence (AI) platforms to serve operations, forecasting and providing services to people; promote the development of modern and synchronous 5G and IoT network infrastructure, meeting the requirements of industrial development, attracting investment and digital transformation, creating a foundation for digital transformation, digital economy and digital society in Quang Ngai.

Second, develop smart models on a province-wide scale, such as: smart tourism; smart urban areas; smart lighting; smart security cameras; digital agriculture; e-tickets, digital payments in public administration, transportation and tourism.

Third, promote digital transformation in small and medium enterprises; continue training and improving digital skills for officials, civil servants and people; effectively implement the "Digital Education for All" movement; form the Provincial Innovation Center; encourage research, development and application of new technologies.

Fourth, continue to improve the quality of online public services and digital services for people and businesses, towards providing comprehensive, personalized and data-based online public services.

Fifth, effectively implement major problems in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation of the province.

VNPT Group leaders presented the logo of the 1 billion VND social security program to Quang Ngai province.

According to comrade To Dung Thai, member of the Government Party Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of VNPT Group, the unit will focus the best resources to accompany Quang Ngai in building digital infrastructure and promoting the comprehensive digital transformation process in all aspects of the province's operations. The solutions designed and provided in Quang Ngai province will be in line with the Government's development orientation; compatible with national systems but still meet the specific conditions of the province.

“VNPT Group is confident in ensuring the effective implementation of cooperation agreements and tasks assigned by the province, thereby contributing to realizing the goal of striving for Quang Ngai to be a fairly developed province by 2030, becoming an important growth pole in the Central Highlands region as set out in the Resolution of the 1st Quang Ngai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030”, Comrade To Dung Thai pledged.

On this occasion, VNPT Group donated 1 billion VND for the social security program to Quang Ngai province.
