Kawasaki is famous for its powerful sports cars, so the fact that the company continues to maintain a small scooter model like BRUSKY 125 has surprised many people. This model was developed in cooperation with Modenas - Kawasaki's distributor in Malaysia. The BRUSKY 125 was created with the aim of being a daily-use vehicle, highly versatile, lightweight and retaining the sporty appearance in the familiar Kawasaki style. The vehicle uses the platform from the Modenas Karisma 125S - a model developed by the Malaysian manufacturer.
The exterior remains almost the same as the original design, but Kawasaki has added signature blue graphics to make the vehicle look stronger and more prominent. The front of the vehicle is equipped with modern dual headlights, the turn signals are placed above creating a style similar to the Ninja models. The sides of the car are accented with lines that feel like wings, creating thickness and a sporty look. The car also has built-in hazard warning lights. BRUSKY 125 uses a single-cylinder SOHC air-cooled engine, with a maximum capacity of 9.52 horsepower, suitable for traveling in the city. The vehicle supports both electric and kick start, providing flexibility in all situations.
The 14-inch front and rear wheels help the vehicle operate more stably on many types of road surfaces. The front brake system uses 220 mm discs, while the rear brake is a standard drum. The 10-spoke alloy wheels give the car a light and agile look. Despite its modern appearance, the car's clocks still use analog form combined with a small LCD screen for distance and fuel level. The underseat storage compartment is large enough to fit a half-helmet, and the seat can be opened via a switch located next to the lock. Other features of the bike are basic, with a USB charging port and LED turn signals.
The selling price of BRUSKY 125 in the Malaysian market is around 34 million VND. This is considered as Kawasaki lending its brand name to another vehicle line. A typical example is the Indian motorcycle Bajaj Pulsar 200 which was also sold in Vietnam for a while under the name Kawasaki Pulsar 200.
