Quang Ninh won third prize at the national art photography contest "Pride of a border strip"

Recently, at the Military Radio and Television Center (Hanoi), the Central Propaganda Department presided over and coordinated with the Central External Relations Department, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Public Security , the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the Border Guard Command, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and related units to organize the award ceremony of the National Artistic Photography Competition and Exhibition "Pride of a Border Strip". Author Vu Tien Dung, member of the Photography Association, Quang Ninh Literature and Arts Association, Head of the Quang Yen Town Photography Club won the Third Prize of the Competition with the photo series "Heroic Vietnamese Mother".

The contest is held every two years with the aim of promoting the poetic and majestic natural beauty as well as the unique cultural features of the people in the border areas; depicting the life, work, activities, and combat training of the army and people in the border areas of the Fatherland. Thereby contributing to arousing and fostering patriotism, pride in the country's position and position, and responsibility for the homeland and country among all classes of people at home and abroad.

This is the third time the Central Propaganda Department has launched a photography contest on the theme of the National Land Border. This year's contest has attracted special attention from all walks of life, the young generation across the country, especially professional and amateur photographers. The Organizing Committee has received more than 14,000 entries from nearly 2,000 authors from 63 provinces and cities across the country.

As a result, the Organizing Committee judged and awarded 2 award systems for single photo and photo series categories including 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 6 third prizes, and 10 consolation prizes.

Quang Ninh has 3 authors who are members of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association who won prizes and had their photos displayed. Author Vu Tien Dung won third prize with his photo series "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" and his work "I Draw the Epic Song of Our Fathers" which were displayed; author Nguyen Khac Dam had 2 works and Vu Van Thanh had 1 work selected for display.
