The contest is chaired by the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, in coordination with the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, and a number of ministries and branches.
After 4 months of launching (from March to July 2025), the contest attracted 3,514 authors from 34 provinces and cities to submit 15,770 photos. The quality of this year's works is considered more outstanding than previous seasons, with many new angles, impressive moments, depicting the beauty of the sea, islands and the spirit of the people.
As a result, the Jury selected 150 outstanding works for exhibition; of which 22 best works were awarded, including: 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 6 third prizes, 10 consolation prizes.

Participating in the contest, Gia Lai has 3 Photographic Artists (NSNA) whose photos won prizes and were selected for exhibition. Specifically, the work "Sea cave - New tourism potential" by NSNA Nguyen Minh Quang excellently won second prize; NSNA Nguyen Phuoc Hoai was awarded an encouragement prize with the photo series "Journey to develop marine sports ".
Along with that, the work "Nha Trang Salt Harvest" by artist Ngo Huy Tinh was selected to display at the exhibition.



Every two years, the National Art Photography Contest and Exhibition "Fatherland on the Shore" is held to promote the natural beauty and people of Vietnam's seas and islands; vividly reflecting the life, work, production and the task of preserving the sovereignty and security of the sacred seas and islands of the Fatherland.
Through creative and emotional perspectives, the contest contributes to spreading love for the homeland and national pride; arousing in all classes of people - especially the young generation - the awareness of continuing the tradition of their ancestors, joining hands to preserve and promote the value of the homeland's sea and islands.
