
Locally, heavy rains that lasted throughout the evening of December 3 caused Thanh Binh 2 village to be deeply flooded, with 20 houses submerged (at times the water level rose to about 1.5 m). About 30 hectares of coffee and mulberry trees belonging to local people were also significantly damaged.

From early morning, local leaders, police and militia forces were present at the flooded area to organize the emergency evacuation of people to safety and support the transportation of property out of the danger zone.

According to records, the authorities used canoes, life jackets, seat belts and specialized vehicles to approach households in the above area.

Chairman of Dinh Van Lam Commune People's Committee Ha Hoang Viet Lam informed: "We always put people's lives first. When we saw the water rising quickly, the commune immediately mobilized all forces to support evacuation. Up to now, households in areas at risk of deep flooding have all been moved to safety, with no human casualties."

In addition to the evacuation, Dinh Van Lam Ha commune has also deployed forces on duty 24/7 to monitor weather developments and be ready to respond when the situation becomes more complicated. The work of providing food, drinking water and medical support for temporary residents has also been fully implemented.

According to current reports, the locality recorded 2 more points on National Highway 27, Thanh Binh 2 village section, with local flooding. In addition, 1 more Binh Thanh Kindergarten was flooded, the commune's functional forces supported the relocation of items to a safe place. The Dinh Van Lam Ha commune authorities advised people to continue to be vigilant, limit going through areas with fast-flowing water and monitor information from the authorities.
