More than 1 million juveniles of various species including tiger prawns, grouper, and sea bass were released into the natural environment by delegates and people. The activity not only has practical significance in protecting, restoring, and developing aquatic resources, but also contributes to raising public awareness about preserving the marine ecological environment.
Over the years, Quang Ninh province has always focused on protecting and developing aquatic resources, aiming to conserve and restore species of economic value, especially in coastal waters and inland water bodies such as reservoirs and dams.
Combining aquaculture with reasonable and sustainable exploitation in the sea areas has contributed to the conservation of aquatic resources and the preservation of the ecological environment. On that basis, the activity of releasing fishery resources into the natural environment has been actively responded to by authorities at all levels, organizations and people in the province, becoming a practical work to protect and develop the marine ecosystem.
Since 2020, the province has released more than 48.7 million aquatic fry into the natural environment; in early 2025 alone, the province released 165,000 fish fry to restore aquatic resources in Yen Lap Lake.
