The hospital leadership representative said that every week, the departments proactively organize Patient Council meetings; every quarter, the hospital holds a Hospital-wide Patient Council meeting. These meetings not only receive comments but also incorporate useful topics such as nutrition communication for stroke patients in the Internal Medicine Department, nutrition for cardiovascular diseases, hemodialysis, gout patients in the Internal Medicine and Cardiology Department, etc.
Ms. Luong Thi Tam (resident of Duc Phu commune, a mother who just gave birth at the Obstetrics Department) said: “I was consulted about the benefits of breast milk and how to take care of my baby after giving birth. In early August, Saigon Tam Ky General Hospital (located in Ban Thach ward) organized a health consultation program with a specialist doctor on screening for hepatitis B.

At Sai Gon Tam Ky General Hospital, health education is communicated in many forms such as organizing monthly prenatal classes to provide knowledge on pregnancy care and skills to welcome the baby. Diabetes classes help diabetic patients understand the disease, monitor treatment, prevent complications, manage appropriate nutrition...
Notably, the hospital cooperated with DiaB unit to establish a health education center for people with chronic diseases, providing free support and consultation for people in need of guidance and care for chronic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, gout, etc.
