Phu Ninh Lake has been operating since the morning of October 22 to respond to heavy rain and storm No. 12.

DNO - On the afternoon of October 21, Quang Nam Irrigation Exploitation Company Limited issued a notice on the operation and regulation of water in Phu Ninh Lake to proactively respond to very heavy rain combined with storm No. 12.

The operation is carried out in accordance with the Phu Ninh reservoir regulation process, the approved 2025 natural disaster response plan and Official Dispatch No. 08/CD-UBND dated October 21, 2025 of the People's Committee of Da Nang City on proactively responding to very heavy rain and storm No. 12.

According to the announcement, at 1:00 p.m. on October 21, the water level of Phu Ninh Lake was at +28.06 m. It is forecasted that by the morning of October 22, the water level of Tam Ky River will likely reach a maximum of +0.99 m, below alert level I.

To maintain the water level within the process limit (maximum +30.50m at the end of October), the company will regulate through deep spillway, with flow from 30m³/s to 700m³/s, starting from 8:00 a.m. on October 22.

The company recommends that authorities, especially downstream localities, proactively inform people to deploy safety measures and minimize possible damage.
