In the early days of implementation, the classes attracted nearly 100 students registering to participate. This is a positive sign, showing the interest of parents in equipping their children with life skills and drowning prevention skills during the summer.

Dong Trieu Ward organizes free swimming for children.
During the lessons, the children are guided through warm-up exercises, getting used to the water environment, practicing floating, leg kicking techniques, how to breathe underwater, coordinating basic arm and leg movements, and gradually becoming familiar with the breaststroke technique.
In addition, students are equipped with essential knowledge about preventing drowning and skills to handle situations when encountering accidents in the water, contributing to raising their awareness of self-protection.

Starting from June 1st, the Dong Trieu Ward Center will offer free swimming lessons for children.
Having attended the class from the beginning, Pham Viet Hung from Doan Xa 1 neighborhood shared: "This is my second swimming lesson. In class, the instructors guided me very specifically on everything from warm-up exercises, floating techniques, leg kicks, to breathing techniques underwater. I find learning to swim very meaningful because it not only helps me learn another sport but also equips me with skills to protect myself and prevent the risk of drowning."
Joining the class, Vu Thuy Chi, from Ward 2, said: "Through the media and social networks, I've seen many drowning accidents involving children recently. Therefore, I registered for this class to equip myself with the necessary skills. I think knowing how to swim is not only a sport but also an important skill to protect oneself in life."
