Holiday schedule for National Day September 2, 2023.

This holiday includes 2 National Day holidays, 1 weekly day off and 1 compensatory day off for the weekly day off as prescribed by the Labor Code.

With the National Day holiday schedule (September 2), the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) requests agencies and units to arrange and organize work departments reasonably to handle work continuously, ensuring good service to organizations and people.

Agencies and units that do not have a fixed Saturday and Sunday holiday schedule every week will base on the specific program and plan of the unit to arrange a suitable holiday schedule.

For employees who are not civil servants or public employees, the employer decides to choose the National Day holiday option in 2023.

Accordingly, workers will have Saturday, September 2nd off and can choose one of two days: Friday (September 1st) or Sunday (September 3rd).

If a weekly day off coincides with a public holiday or Tet holiday, the employee will be entitled to a compensatory day off on the next working day according to the provisions of the Labor Code.

This is the last long holiday of the year, workers can base on the above holiday schedule to arrange time to travel , visit relatives, family...

Foreign workers in Vietnam are entitled to an additional day off for traditional New Year and one day off for their country's National Day.

Previously, during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, workers had 5 consecutive days off, because April 30 and May 1 were adjacent to the Hung Kings' death anniversary holiday.

Thus, in 2023, workers will have 3 long holidays: Lunar New Year (7 days); Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, March 30 and May 1 (5 days), National Day September 2 (4 days).
