These days, in 49 villages and hamlets of 7 communes in the western border area of the province, everywhere is bright with flags, banners, slogans, full of the spirit of emulation to achieve achievements to welcome the 1st Gia Lai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030. Close to the border, the Border Guard's patrol teams and posts fly the national flag, the soldiers stick to the area, protecting the safety of the targets. Cadres, soldiers and leaders of local authorities go down to the villages and hamlets to encourage people to take care of production, all are determined to firmly protect the border.

In Ia Dom commune, where Le Thanh International Border Gate is located, in addition to ensuring security and order, managing the border and landmarks, officers and soldiers of Le Thanh International Border Gate Border Guard Station have deployed many practical emulation movements. Lieutenant Colonel Vu Nhu Kien - Head of Le Thanh International Border Gate Border Guard Station - said: Welcoming the 1st Provincial Party Congress, the unit has deployed many specific emulation movements, close to the assigned tasks. Currently, the Station is coordinating to build an automatic border gate system, shortening the time for people to complete procedures from 5 minutes to 1 minute, increasing management efficiency but still facilitating trade, not letting criminals escape, ensuring the circulation of goods and people across both sides of the border gate. Along with that, we have increased control of trails and openings, exploited camera systems, license plate recognition machines, facial recognition, etc.
Also in Ia Dom commune, on the evening of September 30, the local government coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union and the Department of Health to organize the Mid-Autumn Festival with the theme "Lanterns brighten children's smiles". The program not only included a Mid-Autumn Festival feast but also gave 9 gifts to students in the "Helping children go to school" and "Adopted children of border guards" programs, along with more than 160 gifts to children in difficult circumstances.
Achievements to welcome the Congress
Coming to Battalion 50, Regiment 991 (Provincial Military Command) these days, the first impression is the spacious and clean barracks; the officers and soldiers are enthusiastically practicing to achieve results to welcome the 1st Provincial Party Congress. The unit regularly organizes alarm drills, masters combat readiness plans, trains urgent working style, ensures fast mobility and high combat readiness in all situations, and carries out sudden tasks when ordered by superiors. At the same time, the unit focuses on political and ideological education, improves mettle, stance and awareness of "self-awareness, self-discipline", and sense of responsibility for regular and sudden tasks.

Lieutenant Colonel Phan Tuan Anh - Political Commissar of Infantry Battalion 50 - shared: In the atmosphere of emulation to achieve achievements to welcome the 1st Provincial Party Congress, the unit strives to achieve the highest results, make breakthroughs in combat readiness training and carry out tasks assigned by superiors. We build plans to protect the area before, during and after the Congress; 100% of officers and soldiers are ready to receive and excellently complete the tasks.
Along Highway 14C to Ia Mo commune, on both sides of the road are green rubber, coffee and cashew forests interspersed with prosperous villages. Red flags with yellow stars flutter, banners and slogans welcoming the Congress are hung solemnly, creating a beautiful and bustling border space.
This year has gone through 70 crop seasons, having experienced pain and loss in the war, Mrs. Ksor H'Blâm - village elder of Krong (Ia Mo commune) understands the value of life today: These days, everyone in the village has coordinated with the government and units to clean up, hang national flags, banners, and slogans to welcome the 1st Provincial Party Congress.
