The global travel platform Tripadvisor has just announced its annual Travellers' Choice Awards 2026. In the trending destination category for 2026, Quy Nhon in Vietnam was ranked 4th out of 25 global destinations.
Accordingly, 10 of the 25 trending destinations for 2026, as announced and ranked by Tripadvisor (in order), are:
Madeira, Portugal; Tbilisi, Georgia; Chicago, USA; Quy Nhon, Vietnam; Puerto Escondido, Mexico;
Milan, Italy; Glasgow, United Kingdom; Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Recife, Brazil; San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina.
Tripadvisor noted, Located an hour's flight from Ho Chi Minh City, Quy Nhon offers some of Vietnam's most beautiful beaches – all stunning and unspoiled.
This travel platform recommends that visitors to Quy Nhon spend 80% of their time doing nothing and the remaining 20% exploring the Champa-era temples and enjoying fresh seafood.
Commenting on Quy Nhon's inclusion in the ranking, Forbes magazine noted that the destination is equidistant from two more popular tourist spots, Da Nang and Nha Trang. Visitors can easily reach Quy Nhon by plane or train (with beautiful scenery), and fortunately, the destination remains relatively uncrowded – at least for now.
According to Forbes magazine, Quy Nhon city is quite modern and well-equipped with amenities for tourists, the majority of whom are now domestic tourists. The newly built coastal promenade is considered stunning and is sure to attract even more visitors.
"Visitors should get ready to relax on the golden sands and enjoy fresh seafood that has just been caught right in front of them."
"If the beach becomes boring, you can enhance the cultural experience by visiting the Cham temples and towers scattered throughout the city and surrounding countryside," the magazine recommends.
