On August 28, the People's Army Publishing House chaired and coordinated with the Army Library to launch and introduce the book series commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Following the success of the book series commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, on the occasion of this important event, under the direction of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the People's Army Publishing House coordinated with functional agencies, authors, groups of authors, and authors' families to compile, edit, and publish the book series commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The book series consists of 25 titles that are organized, edited, researched, and compared to basically unify documents that have inheritance and development in historical scientific research, ensuring both theoretical and practical values; modern presentation, ensuring technical and aesthetic quality to attract readers.

The book series is divided into three main sections. The first is representative works selected from the precious archives of the People's Army Publishing House for reprinting. These are works by exemplary senior leaders of the Party, who are also historical witnesses, such as "August Revolution" and "From pre-uprising to general uprising" by comrade Truong Chinh; "The path of following Uncle Ho" by comrade Hoang Quoc Viet; "Arming the revolutionary masses to build the People's Army" by General Vo Nguyen Giap; "August Hanoi " by General Nguyen Quyet; "Two prison breaks" by comrade Tran Dang Ninh...

Through the pages of memoirs and very authentic records of those who directly contributed to leading, directing and organizing the earth-shattering revolution 80 years ago, readers will deeply feel the days of the General Uprising, in which each work depicts the image of Leader Ho Chi Minh and the Party's leaders with their strategic vision and iron-clad belief that "even if we have to burn down the entire Truong Son mountain range, we will still be determined to gain independence".
